Is it safe to come out yet?

Just when you think you have this season figured out, Florida loses to Auburn. Or Oklahoma loses to Colorado. Hey, it's Division I football, brother!

Or Texas falls to Kansas State. Or Rutgers loses to Maryland. Or Penn State crumbles before Illinois.

Loss redacted? Unfortunately for the Lions, no.

Or Clemson returns to Tommy Bowden Equilibrium by dropping one to Georgia Tech, which still has to lose a few games to reach Chan Gailey Equilibrium. Or Alabama loses to Florida State when its offense shows about as much vigor as the other team's coach.

Maybe this was set up by the events of Friday. No, not this event. This event. One of Friday's upsets was expected before it happened. The other could almost not be believed.

Almost like this season. And it's not even halfway done.
