About Gamecock Man

I'm not going to tell you too much about myself, so don't get excited. Not that I have a problem with full disclosure. I don't. But as a mascot-themed superhero, I feel that I need to reserve a certain degree of mysteriousness to properly perform my role here.

So here's what you get. Gamecock Man was born in, grew up in, and earned his undergraduate degree (at the University of South Alabama) in Mobile, AL. His family taught him to cheer for the Auburn Tigers when he was young.

However, in 2005 he moved to Columbia to begin working on his MA at USC. During the two years that he spent in Columbia earning that degree, he became a die-hard fan of Gamecocks sports despite not having followed them closely earlier in his life.

He left Columbia in 2007 and currently is in exile in a snowy northeastern city working on his PhD.
