WARDAMN, if you're here now, I'd love to hear your thoughts about this hire. You know, just to remind us Gamecocks how a REAL (5-7) program runs a coaching search. Seriously, as a born Auburn fan and a huge fan of Tuberville, I'll say that this is a sad day for Auburn fans. Maybe Chizik will turn out to be better than we might think, but at the end of the day the truth is that almost every candidate turned down Auburn for fear of working in that situation. Auburn couldn't even make a deal with the MAC for a great coach. What this makes me think about is two years ago when nobody thought Bama would find a good coach and they found...Saban. Nobody thought Auburn would find a good coach and they found...Chizik. Seriously. Welcome back to the 70s, kiddos.
