For those who think the athletics department can hurt academics
Like other Southern schools, South Carolina could use more need-based aid. A great move by the athletics department, and proof that being a great sports school and a great academic school don't have to be mutually exclusive.

As an academic, I have a few curmudgeonly friends that know about my college football obsession and like to argue with me about the value (or lack thereof) of athletic in college life. I sent this to a few of them to make a point.
