12:02 p.m. Houtson Nutt's spiel about being happy to see the fan support at Ole Miss sounds more genuine than a lot of new coaches. Maybe because he realized that the fans at the new place weren't completely insane. Or maybe Mississippi has weaker open-records laws than Arkansas.

12:09 p.m. The Orgeron did well recruiting but "there are some holes."

12:10 p.m. Nutt is really, really excited to be at Ole Miss. C&F knows because Nutt has said so. Over and over and over again.

12:15 p.m. "I love bowls. I love bowls." Take away: He's excited and he love bowls.

12:16 p.m. Star ratings "don't matter to me."

12:19 p.m. On Tyrone Nix: "His teams play hard. They play with passion." Yes. They passionately watch running backs go by and hardly ever stop them before five yards have been gained.

12:21 p.m. On playing Arkansas: "You can't help but think about it. ... But quickly, my mind goes back to Memphis."

12:22 p.m. Houston Nutt likes college's overtime rule. "Don't change the overtime." C&F heartily agrees.

12:27 p.m. The coach for life is a dying breed, and the Interwebs are to blame. "Sometimes things are written that really puts a lot of pressure on the athletics director." Um, they're written on banners pulled by airplanes as well.

12:31 p.m. "Unfair" to seniors and fans to rebuild. Unfair, in this context, is another word he keeps repeating.

Nutt is finished. The extra supports are being brought in to shore up the stage for Fulmer's arrival. There are also about a dozen interns coming in right now, each carrying 10 boxes of donuts.
