Words fail -- almost

Anyone who has read this blog for any length of time knows C&F is rarely speechless.

This almost did it.

SMQ is leaving SB Nation. We are assured that he will continue his work somewhere else, and good luck to him in those efforts.

When C&F started back in 2006 -- Lord, it seems longer -- he had a few heroes. EDSBS was obviously one of them. SMQ quickly joined the pantheon. I was rarely so happy as when he posted my fark of Joe Paterno.

SMQ and I didn't always agree, though he was usually right when we didn't. But I always loved his insightful posts and stood in awe of his near encyclopedic knowledge of college football.

I am really happy for SMQ. He deserves this. But he will be missed.
