Blame it on the police?
This is odd. On the one hand, you can't ignore a trustee making some pretty incendiary accusations against the campus police. On the other hand, he's a trustee who's clearly sympathetic to the athletics department, and players who screw up should face the consequences.

Call me a homer, but...
I tend to agree with the trustee. Half the stuff that happens on campus at USC would go unpunished/overlooked in that little upstate town we’re all so very fond of. I’m glad somebody with some weight to throw around has finally spoken up on this issue, even if it comes after Spurrier made a big deal about Dion being exonerated.

Ron Morris disagrees with you
I know you’re crushed. ;)
My only quibble is this: I want us to hold our players to a higher standard than the Team from the Upstate. I’m sure you do, too, but I just think that’s a bad comparison. And if the players screw up, whether the police are paying them extra attention or not, I think they should be punished.
That said, the Dion LeCorn thing still bothers me. Something isn’t right about that, and I mean looking at the police work there. Just odd.
