Beecher not starting; Garcia to play?
The information here is pretty sparse, but intriguing nonetheless. I would guess that this means that Chris will be starting, but Spurrier has been saying that he might play two QBs, and with Beecher's shoulder still hurting and Garcia taking Beecher's practice snaps, is it possible that we're going to finally see the fabled savior of the program play a bit? Spurrier said earlier this week that Garcia is not part of the equation, so I still have my doubts. On the other hand, I think all of us are expecting coach to pull out all the stops this week to beat the hated Dawgs. Maybe throwing Garcia in here and there to shake things up a bit is part of his plan.

What's the worst that could happen?
He throws an INT or the offensive line jumps early?
I say why not.

Hey folks...
You’ve got a nice site too, FSU. I’ll have to take a closer look at it when I get a chance. I hope you’re right about our chances.
Snead, I’m kind of with you. I don’t think we’ll see much of him b/c he supposedly doesn’t know enough of the playbook to give us good options for more than a few plays, but if Spurrier has some ideas about how to use him effectively in tandem with Chris, I’m ready to see them. Like you say, can’t get much worse, so why not try something new?

Don't rule out Spurrier using a decoy
Something like — and I’m coming up with this off the top of my head — a handoff or pitch to a running back or wide receiver who actually is the passer on the play. Something like that.
Get the entire defense keyed in on Garcia, then make him a completely unnecessary part of the play.

Yeah...
I can see that too, cocknfire. It would be good to have Kenny playing if we’re going to do that, though.

Hey, I'd...
… love to see Garcia play. The guy has become almost a mythical presence on the USCe squad. No one outside of Columbia are even really sure what he looks like. C’mon, Spur-dog, let the big guy play. We’re curious.
