The Tide impressed me more than Florida did, but their passing game is suspect against good defenses. They'll need to figure that out before they play LSU and especially the Gators if they make it to the SECCG.
Florida's offense still looks out of kilter and mistake-prone, while their defense proved vulnerable and would have given up more points if Arkansas could have converted on a few golden opportunities. Still a title contender, obviously, but certainly not the best-team-in-the-universe they were hyped as.
3. LSU Tigers
The Tigers took a week off to prepare for Auburn.
Well, the Gamecocks are back to point A. Their defense is great but the offense isn't, at least not against teams not named Kentucky.
The Hogs showed a lot of life against Florida. They're in good position to make a late-season run at the postseason.
The 'Cats bounced back from a string of losses with a win at Auburn. This is another team to watch late in the season.
The Vols took a week off to prepare for Alabama. I expect them to have similar results to South Carolina; they'll keep it close with defense, but they don't have the offense to take out the Tide.
The 'Dawgs bounced back for a win against Vandy. Do they have anything for the Gators?
9. Mississippi Rebels
If only they could play UAB every week...
10. Auburn Tigers
Well, I guess talk of the rise of the Gene Chizik-led Tigers was a bit premature.
The Bulldogs picked up a win against MTSU. Can they pull an upset on anyone down the stretch?
The 'Dores only scored 10 against a defense that Jonathan Crompton lit up. Does payback await in Columbia this week?
