Michael Dyer Commits to Auburn

Big-time running back prospect Michael Dyer has committed to Auburn. A bit about Dyer:

Dyer, No. 15 overall in the MaxPreps 2010 Top 100 compiled by Tom Lemming, is the third ranked running back in the country, behind Marcus Lattimore (Byrnes, Duncan, S.C.) and Lache Seastrunk (Temple, Texas).

Why should you care? Auburn has also been a major contender for Byrnes running back Marcus Lattimore, who is widely considered the top back in the country and is a possible Carolina lean. The Tigers' signing of Dyer makes it all the more likely that we will land the highly prized Lattimore, as I doubt Lattimore wants to go anywhere where he'll have to contend with another top prospect for playing time.
