Mississippi State vs. South Carolina: Gameday Open Thread
See my preview here, and check out Gate 21 for a great breakdown of all the teams and their chances in the tourney. The key to beating State is managing to get around Varnado while you have the ball and defending the three well while State has the ball. We should be able to do those things, but we lost against them in Starkville, so this will undoubtedly be a tough one. At any rate, we almost certainly need this game to make the NCAAs, so the pressure is on. Let's get some revenge against these Bulldogs!

I've got a larger MSU logo...
if you need it. :-)

If you're serious, send it along :-)...
I’m a big fan of pasting massive logos on my columns.

The Cocks could heat up any time now…

I just don't get it...
USC is not a second half team at least in the last few games….play great in 1st half but suck wind in 2nd

Ugh. Punch in the gut.
What a shitty way to start St. Patrick’s day weekend.

ugh
This was only the second game I’ve seen this season (other being the domination of UK). Well, can’t do much when MSU is shooting about 95% on their 3pts. Hopefully we can still get into the NCAA T.
Maybe someone with more knowledge of the team can answer this: Was it just me or did USC just abandon the inside game in the second half?

Gamecocks perimeter D
has been a huge no show the last few games….they have given up open shots left and right

Sure.
How how many foul shots did we give MSU?

I don't see how we make the Tournament now.
And frankly, I don’t want to watch another game like this again. I think the team has played up to it’s potential. Everything on the line and we still can’t beat MSU in a revenge game on a nuetral court. In all seriousness, NIT is where we belong.

hate to agree
but NIT is now more of a reality due to this loss

after UT game & this one....
I’d say NIT
(okay yeah. I saw some of the UT game too.)

BTW
Weekend opener vs. MSU in baseball has been postponed. Maybe the extra day’s rest will help out our pitching staff. At least they can’t beat us twice in one day…

I'm out.
I am finding that my likliness to binge drink this weekend is inversely proportional to the success of the Gamecocks.

You're just finding that out now?
I’ve been working with that premise for many many years now
