Devan Downey Will Return to USC for 2009-10

Jubilation ensues. Prospects of an SEC title arise.

Discuss. I'll have more later. Until then, think about this video as you wonder how we'll handle Kentucky and the rest of the SEC next year.

As well as thanking Downey, I think we need to give Darrin Horn props for making these guys feel like they should stay...

The emotional aura Horn has instilled in this program has to say a lot about why they decided to stick around. These guys would rather come back and cut down nets for USC than earn six-figure salaries. That says a lot about how much they love the program they’re in.

I really don't think I've ever been this hyped about USC hoops!

We’ve got a good coach and an experienced team. I wish we could have Zam back for one more year, but even without him, we have an experienced team and we have Lakeem Jackson coming in. This will be another great year for USC hoops.

oh yeah

Having Devan and Archie back is a huge boost to the chances of USC being leaders in the East. I can not wait till the UK game.

GM – Jackson, Jefferson Galloway and Spinella are great additions to this team especially with DD running point. On paper this is a solid team in 09-10. We just need Holmes and Muldrow to step up and this could truly be a very very good team.

Even I know this is good news

I might actually look forward to basketball this year. Horn seems to be the right guy to turn this around, despite my initial doubts.

I just hope we can keep him.

I think we can keep him if we're willing to pay for him.

As long as we’re willing to do that, I don’t think he’ll leave unless a once-in-a-lifetime job comes around, such as the Kentucky job.

I am excited!

I start Grad School in a week and half and I am pumped to be on Campus this year with the prospect of this year’s football and basketball teams. Should be something.
