Georgia is reporting that star tackle Trinton Strurdivant will miss his second-straight season due to torn knee ligament:

Richt said Sturdivant tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. It is the same knee Sturdivant injured in a preseason scrimmage last year, forcing him to miss the 2008 season.

While this obviously benefits us this coming weekend, I am sad to hear about this. It's never good to hear that a promising kid is going to miss the entire year, especially one that has fought hard to make a comeback. I can only imagine that this is devestating to the guy. I wish Sturdivant luck and hope he gets the chance to prove he's capable of making it to the next level one day.
