USC at Auburn Baseball and Sweet 16 Open Thread

This open thread is for Carolina baseball and March Madness.

In baseball, the 'Cocks take on the Auburn Tigers on the Plains tonight at 7:30. Blake Cooper starts for Carolina and Cory Luckie (1-0 5.40) starts for Aubie. For more on the series, check out The Feathered Warrior's preview.

As far as basketball goes, what else can we say? This has been the best tournament in quite a while, and last night had to take the cake for legendary basketball. We saw Butler upset Syracuse and a double-overtime epic between Kansas State and Xavier, with the Wildcats coming out on top. Can tonight top that? Common sense would say no, but who knows this year. As far as picks go, I've got Ohio St., Baylor, No. Iowa, and Duke tonight.

Yeah.

To me, in addition to the fact that, as you say, the flag holds the state back, the important issue is the question of whose history gets represented. And I think it’s a problem that, in a state with such a diverse population, one history—and particularly one with a pretty questionable ethical past—gets a lot more air time than the others.
