Tuesday News and Notes: Holloway Update, SEC TV Projections and More

Here's today's news and required reading:

Holloway leaning against walk-on option | GoGamecocks2010. Murphy Holloway is trying to convince Ole Miss to release him to take a scholarship with either USC or Clemson, but he says that if he is unable to do that, he probably won't walk on with either school. That would likely mean he'll end up at somewhere like Coastal, where Cliff Ellis is reportedly very interested in convincing him to come to Myrtle Beach.

SEC TV projections | The Anti-Orange Page. This guy is reported to be pretty accurate with his projections (H / T Get the Picture), so they're worth a look. As expected, he has us spending a lot of time on TV again this year. Of particular note is that he pegs our game at Florida for national coverage at CBS. I'll have to admit that I would probably prefer for CBS to pick up our UGA game, although I also probably like our chances against the 'Dawgs more at night in front of a raucous crowd. I also can't say that I wish a 3:30 kickoff in September in Columbia on anyone. It would be cool to finally win one of those CBS games, though, and I--obviously--thinks that's more likely at home against UGA than in the Swamp.
