Tuesday News and Notes: Murphy Holloway Might Be a Gamecock and More

Big news, folks: it appears that Ole Miss's Murphy Holloway might be transferring to USC. If this happens, it will end a long period of speculation about his future. Holloway, who wants to be closer to home and family, was originally considering transferring to Clemson or Carolina before Ole Miss denied the scholarship transfer to either school, a suprising development particularly in relation to OOC Clemson. Most then thought he would head to a local mid-major like Winthrop or Coastal, but it now appears that he might try to pay his way for one year and then join the Gamecocks. If this happens, it would be great news for our program, which could certainly use a player of Holloway's caliber. We'll have more as it develops.
