The Gamecocks picked up a commitment today from Rivals 3* LB prospect Edward Muldrow out of South Gwinnett. Muldrow is ranked among the better OLBs in the nation by the major services. He turned down a number of respectable programs for USC, including Clemson, Florida State, Arkansas, and UNC. He was also receiving interest from Alabama and Georgia, although with no offers yet.
Muldrow projects to be a good pass rush and cover linebacker at the college level. He has decent speed and shows good instincts in the finishing and coverage games. His main need right now is to bulk up a bit. At 190 lbs, he'll need to put on a good bit of muscle to be ready for SEC trenches.
Welcome aboard!
