UGA Athletic Director Damon Evans Arrested for DUI

The report says all you need to know:

FOX 5 News has learned that University of Georgia's Athletic Director Damon Evans was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop Wednesday night along with a passenger.

Police pulled Evan's 2009 BMW over around 11:55 p.m. at Roswell Road and Chastain Drive.

Police say a field sobriety test was performed.

Evans was taken to the Atlanta Pre-trial Detention Center where Evans refused a breathalyzer test.

The president of UGA is expected to release a statement later Thursday.

Methinks this should put an end to snide comments from UGA fans about Stephen Garcia's history. In all seriousness, though, DUI is no laughing matter and I'm glad that everyone is OK.
