Off Topic Spurrier quote
Standing out in the victory was the continued growth of Connor Shaw, who eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the first time this season and passed for three touchdowns for the second straight week.
"He’s a quality player and hasn’t had any real terrible plays," Spurrier said. "That gives you a chance to win when your quarterback can keep you in there. Connor’s a good passer, he’s just got to get the ball out quicker at times. When he starts doing that, he can become a Heisman Trophy candidate."

If the clemsux coaching staff and head coach watched any tape whatsoever on Shaw, they would have realized the kid likes to take off. He ran free all night against clemsux, any other quality coach would have had the defense keep an eye out for a running qb, but not dabo the clown!
Shaw showed great improvement over the last five games and seems much more comfortable behind center. Next year should be better even without AJ.

Banned.
Yep, I responded to two Taters over on Shaking The Southland last night in their article related to this issue, and this morning my posts are gone and I’m banned. You almost have to admire the Gestapo-like control of propaganda that exists on all Clemscum media outlets.
Nah, they’re not defensive about the sorry state of their football program at all.
Dabo wanted to rally his base.
But he’s getting absolutely killed in the national media.
Yeah, he made a fool of himself. The only people who liked this are the Clemson fans.
They’ll turn on him, too, after they lose tonight.

It’s also a long-winded way of saying “We used to beat you before I took over.” Spurrier’s clearly in Swinney’s head now, much like he used to be with Fulmer. Referencing victories and championships that occurred before an of the current players were even born is a sign of desperation.
The present is what matters…and we all know who rules the Roost (no pun intended) right now.
well they didnt lose
and now we have to expand our trophy case . have fun looking at the hardees trophy cocks.
Mathieu is freakin amazing

Just seems to be the script for lsu...
After Arky and uga got double digit leads… then the tigers just take over. Maybe they come out flat. But this team is so sick.

The Honey Badger has me actively rooting for LSU.
That’s a hard thing to accomplish. Usually I just root against UGA.

I now live 30 miles north of Baton Rouge
They were my preferred West team before moving here, and I have a lot of friends who are alumni and fans. Wasn’t hard for me to enjoy this game.
BTW, did you hear that, “Aaron Murray is the best quarterback in the league?” Hope he’s a preseason Heisman candidate next year.

No way Murray is as good as Wilson.
Hope he comes into Columbia as a Heisman contender so we can Quincy Carter him.

LSU is simply a 2nd half team. Time after time, they score 30+ after halftime

so at least ok state has a lead.
Houston blew it and will probably lose their coach. And clemson is winning again? Guess it just makes us look good. But vt is really wetting the bed here.

The bright side...
Of Clemson winning is that we should now move ahead of VT in the polls, which gives us a better shot at finishing in the top 10 if we win the bowl.
As much as I hate it, you have to give Clemson credit for regrouping and winning this game.

VT might stay ahead of us, which is ridiculous
They have zero impressive wins, and only one decent win (37-26 over GA Tech).
At least Georgia fans will finally come back down to Earth and learn some humility.
“I’m not prepared to concede that these Bulldogs aren’t as good as any team in the country outside of Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa.” TKK post-game
Never mind.

If VT stays ahead of us after getting pasted by a team we pasted the week before, then shame on the voters.
We should be in the top 10 tomorrow after VT, Oklahoma, Houston, and Michigan St. all lost.
LMAO at TKK. Boise and South Carolina might have a word to say to him.

The saddest thing about UGA...
Is that a lot of them are blaming the whole thing on the refs. That fan base has an infinite ability to rationalize losses. I saw one of them the other day making the argument that they should be ranked as high as Arkansas because their loss to us was very similar to Arkansas’s win over us. Most of them think they “owned” us in that game. What a bunch.

and THIS. they are a delusional bunch, of which my dad is one.
for a month now, all I’ve heard about is…OH were playing much better now. OH, we have such a great defense now. OH, UGA should have won the USC game. OH, UGA would have beaten Boise if they played now. OH, OH, OH, OH, UGA OH!!
F U-GA! They got freaking owned tonight. Can’ be sad about that!

we CRUSHED the ACC champs, who CRUSHED VT. There is no way VT stays above us.

Virginia Tech is a pretty poor football team.
It is amazing what the power of media can do to perception.
I watched the majority of the Temple/Maryland game earlier in the year. Temple was ahead at one point 38-0 and were literally man handling them.
After the Maryland/Clemson game, I knew Carolina would dominate Clemson again.
Dabo knew Clemson would beat VT again, hence the orange bowl apparel and the prepared rant.
Virginia Tech is simply not a good football team.
The ranking system is very suspect.

How much of a joke is the ACC?
Seriously, that conference is bereft of legit teams.
The Orange Bowl is going to field worse teams than many non-BCS bowls.

What can be said...we pounded the ACC champs, and we are the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC.
lolz
Braves.
Falcons.

so we are #10 in the AP and #9 in the coaches.
boo yah!
Braves.

Top Ten for Cocks!
Boy was I wrongabout VA Tech. They are living on their reputation instead of their current team. After watching them barely squeak by Duke, and Duke could have won that game, I should not have been so bold as to predict them to beat anyone. Yep, the ACC sucks and Big Least sucks more. The orange bowl is now the irrelevant bowl.
Capital One here we come and this just in we are ranked in the top 10 in both AP and Coaches Polls! Congratulations Cocks!
I thought VT would win, too. They struggled early in the year, but seemed to come on strong late.
Obviously, they weren’t all that. I’ll give Clemson credit, though, for getting their act together and winning.
