I thought Aschoff's top 10 moments list was pretty weak.
Even someone with a cursory knowledge of the SEC football season could have cobbled that list together. When I think of top moments, I think of singular plays or off the field events that had a butterfly effect on larger events and had a national presence. So, for instance, an important “moment” isn’t, “The Tide wins the BCS Championship Game.” Instead, he could have gone with Trent Richardson’s game-sealing touchdown run, which was symbolically huge because it was the first TD either team had scored in 8 quarters of play, and more importantly it salted the game away. I suppose the counterargument here is that there is probably a separate list for “top 10 plays.” You could also argue that Melvin’s fake punt TD against Georgia belongs on a top moments list, because it represented a massive momentum shift, and was in a lot of ways the coming-out party for a player who would go on to be a unanimous All-America selection.
TL;DR: Aschoff, a paid blogger for the World Wide LEader, could have spent more than 30 seconds filling out his top moments list.

He's inconsistent.
He lists some plays and some storylines. He mentions 3 highlights and then mentions stories elsewhere. Arkansas fans seem to be butthurt that he mentions our 11-win season as the first ever, but not theirs as the first since the 70s.

You're right about Ed
he seems to mail it in a lot … and Heather Dinich out-works both Ed and C-Low, covering just as many teams.

Also, this just in. Shaq Roland, Brock Stadnik, and Brendan Nosovitch are Parade All-Americans
Good on ’em, especially for Nosovitch, whose gaudy numbers have been largely overlooked by the national media.

Darius English, too.
And if Quinshad Davis commits, that will make 5.

Didn't we have a Mike Davis before?
And what is our prospect of getting a commit from him? I prefer if players make visits during loud and raucous home games since the effect is so much stronger.
Braves.
Falcons.
Gamecocks.
Ah, we sure did!
RB from the mid 2000s. He was definitely there while I was a student. Had a bit of a fumble-bug if I recall, but a good player. He split carries with Corey Boyd at least one year.

I'm pretty sure he had a fumble on the goal line versus GA that would have won us the game.
Also, seems like we were at USC at the same time.

Gamecocks.
Yeah? What years were you?
Fall 2003-Spring 2007 here.

2000-2004 were my years, but I left Columbia in 06.

Byron Jerideau arrested.
There has been least one first hand account of it being entirely unreasonable on the part of the Columbia police, as is the norm in 5 Points. Of course the ol’ “Shouldn’t be in 5 Pts in the wee hours” argument will be invoked. At any rate, from what I’ve heard, Byron hasn’t been in a lick of trouble since coming in campus so hopefully this doesn’t lead to any major action taken against him.

Yeah - hopefully looking at just some internal punishment
and maybe a half game or quarter suspension; loss of starting privileges etc., depending on what happens. I don’t know any of the facts, yet, so perhaps should reserve judgment even on that.

Red Shirt Freshmen
Cedric Cooper is an exciting addition to next years squad. Our lb play could be better and someone as athletic as him could be a difference maker. Plus the 6’3" receiver I have never heard of sounds interesting. We need a big target now that AJ is gone.
Gurley is a Bulldog.
The AJC has an article up. That unfortunately should help Clemson in trying to get Mike Davis.

It could just as easily help us
I think it eliminates UGA from the running. I would usually defer to Connor’s take that UT is the favorite, but for some reason I think we’re the favorite. Connor argued that Davis had said his mind was made up, and that he had only taken an official to Knoxville, but you have to think he’s taken unoffficials to Carolina. Hopefully, big brother won’t try to overly influence him .. or he can stand on his own two feet.
