Do you get the feeling this was a Whammy hire
all the way? Botkin and Whammy coached together at Arkansas. You could read into it that Spurrier is giving Ward a lot of flexibility to run the defense. Botkin’s resume looks solid.

On paper this guy looks weak. But these coaches know infinitely more about this than I do.
