Baseball America: College Baseball Top 25
Baseball America has just released its Pre-Season Top 25. Do you think we've gotten a fair ranking? Is there anyone else over-ranked or under-ranked? With eight SEC teams in the Top 25 (and seven in the Top 11), how difficult is it going to be to get back to Omaha? Note that this is not a poll - the rankings are compiled by Baseball America's staff.

It doesn't offend me either
if you follow College Baseball Daily, whose been running down the top 100 college baseball players, it’s sick how many Gators are bunched in the top 20. The UF-USC series will be epic – I am glad it is in Columbia this year. The SEC East may be down in football, but it is insane in baseball.
Here's a health, Carolina, forever to thee! UNIVERSITAS CAROLIN MERID. 1801 Emollit mores nec sinit esse feros (Ovid)
Florida is a damn good team. It took some gargantuan performances for us to beat them last year.

Definitely. And Baseball is completely different than Football.
I think that’s hard to remember sometimes. It doesn’t matter if you don’t win the SEC Tournament, it doesn’t matter what you are ranked because there is a playoffs system in place. Anywhere in the top 5 is good enough for me. the exact number… doesn’t matter.
Hell, they could say your top 5 teams in alphabetical order are Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina and Stanford and I would be happy with that.
I’m looking forward to baseball coverage picking up. What would you consider a successful season and what would you consider a bust? I think I am at making it to Omaha is what makes or breaks our season.

Obviously, you can't say "Omaha or bust" with this team; it's not like we could be too resenful if they have a disappointing season, not after the two national titles.
But Omaha has to be the expectation. Just our pitching alone should be good enough to get us there.

I mean I'll support this team no matter what. Always have.
So if we run into the wrong team at the Super Regional or we get plagued by injuries, I won’t be unreasonable. But pretty much what you said, just our pitching alone should be enough to get us there.
I also have this perception that I would rather have to replace the defense up the middle than replace the pitching.
