Per Phil Kornblut, it looks like Coach Lorenzo Ward was able to convince McDonough, Georgia DB/QB prospect Chris Moody to give the Gamecocks a strong second look on his official visit to Columbia this weekend. This would be an important "get" for USC, since we could use another corner/safety. Moody committed to Vanderbilt last weekend; it looks like he will make his decision on or just before NSD. I would really like to win this recruiting battle with James Franklin's re-vitalized Commodores. Ward continues to impress as a recruiter following his promotion to defensive coordinator - not that he was bad before, but to my eyes it's like he's transcended to another level.
