The Daily Gamecock: Calipari: 'It didn't matter who we played.' “It didn’t matter who we played, someone was getting beat by 30 today,” Calipari said. “It wasn’t South Carolina; it was us.” It sounds like a bad break up spiel. Sure, Little Ricky, we can still be friends. The Editorial Board, meanwhile, stakes out a tough position - Fans should return to basketball games. Ya think?
AP: Pete Iacobelli writes that South Carolina seeking answers after Kentucky loss.

Loose Feed
Team Speed Kills: Sprints Tries a Comeback Like Eli Manning in the Super Bowl // 02.06.10.
AL.com: Nick Saban's actions show commitment not two-way street as Darius Philon story rages on. Saban may be a great coach, but his reputation for integrity on the recruiting trail is plummeting; he can't blame the 25-signee limit for playing the recruiting game too fast-and-loose.
AJC Recruiting: Dalvin Tomlinson’s connection to Alabama ‘grayshirt scandal’ (UPDATED). Apparently, Dalvin was a secret commitment to Bama since mid-January, even when he was talking to Coach Ward; Saban comes off looking worse-and-worse.

He says that USC has a great history.
No. no we don’t. But that’s ok, because just like Jay-Z said, “It ain’t where I been, but where I’m bout to go”
Good hire though. Welcome aboard!

Found this in a fanshot on Team Speed Kills
Year2 has this fanpost that lists a revised ranking from the recruiting classes in 2009, and the article lists South Carolina as 7th, which is up from 12th on the original Rivals rankings.

Very interesting article--good stuff from Staples.
Goes to show you that our coaches are recruiting even better than the rankings suggest. I’ve been impressed by our performance in filling needs, more than anything else. What’s killing teams like Clemson and Tennessee is that they’re recruiting good athletes at the skills positions but are whiffing on key OL / DL prospects. Tennessee signed no OL this cycle. That’s a recipe for disaster, as we learned from the Hunt years.

Looking at that thing again, though, makes you wonder where he gets off putting Clemson on that list.
The reasoning seems to be that six out of the twelve players they signed that year are starters. But only signing twelve is part of the reason they have no depth.

This has nothing to do with anything really, but here is a picture of my oldest sister( who is a big gamecock fan) and Marcus Lattimore.

How'd they meet? Is she a student at USC?

She is a realtor here in Myrtle Beach.
She was at a friends Super Bowl party in Columbia and he was there for a while.
That’s all she told me.
I jealous.
