I believed the hype coming out of spring and August practice that the offense was finally capable of throwing the ball around the field, per Steve Spurrier. However come to find out v. Vandy that we have some kinks to work out on both sides of the ball-the pass offense and defense. Here is probably what happened in spring and fall practice-Shaw and Thompson had field days against our secondary which led everyone to believe that would translate to live SEC action. Thompson is not ready for prime time. The secondary is out of position as evidenced seam route that led to the touchdown. That play let Vandy back in the game which I believe that was third down, hence punt, we get the ball up by 10 while dominating both lines of scrimmage. We will get better in the next four games before uga comes to town and then it will be a real test, don't imagine we will play like we did against Vandy.
But I need to step back from ledge along with everyone else, in the past as the article astutely notes, we would have lost that game..
Bring on ECU and Goooooo Cocks!
