TFP: You may not be lookin' for the promised land, But you might find it anyway On this 11th anniversary of September 11, we'll remember how great this country is with a little music from the Godfather of soul.
Gamecock Central: UP NEXT: UAB Blazing a new path.
The State: 199 wins and counting for Spurrier. 200 should be attainable on Saturday against the 0-1 UAB Trailblazers, who were idle during week 2 after losing to in-state opponent Troy. Nice that this works out in a way that Spurrier can enjoy it and hopefully ham it up. STUDENTS HELP THE MAN CELEBRATE, PLEASE!
CBS: Missouri at South Carolina to be covered by CBS Sports at 3:30 PM on 9/22. Gamecock Central lists the other SEC Games for that week as well.
Gamecock Central: Spotlight on DJ Swearinger.
Gamecock Central: Gamecocks in MLB.
Gamecocks Online: Your 2012-2013 Carolina Hoops Players, with quotes from Coach Frank Martin.
Team Speed Kills: Year2 remember the tragedy of 9/11. I was in homeroom in 12th grade. By then we had tv's mounted on the wall in the classroom with limited cable. We watched CNN/FOX News/MSNBC to see the second plane crash.
SB Nation: From the mothership, a great article detailing the "game" of college football. I remember reading last week when Saban blew up at the reporters. I certainly didn't give it as much thought as maybe it deserved. Just goes to show that when coaches do or say something, they usually have a purpose. Much like when Spurrier blew up at Ron Morris. There was probably more to that than just being disgruntled. This story is long, really long. But if you have the time, it's definitely worth the read. (H/T to TSK)
