Tajh Boyd is returning for his senior season and Georgia NT Kwame Geathers joins the proud Geathers tradition of leaving college early.
Tajh Boyd To Return For Senior Season - Shakin The Southland
Tajh Boyd has set all kinds of career quaterbacking records at Clemson, and his Wednesday announcement ensured that those records won't be touched for a long time. One milestone that he could reach is experiencing a loss to the in-state rival Gamecocks for a fifth time. (Boyd redshirted the 2009 season.)
There has only been one winning streak of five games or more in the series between South Carolina and Clemson (the Tigers beat the Gamecocks in seven straight meetings from 1934-1940), so Tajh would be would be a trailblazer on that front should the Tigers fall to the Gamecocks for a fifth consecutive year when the two teams meet in Columbia next November.
This possibility was not lost on DeVonte Holloman:
Great decision Tajh. Get that degree! Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnd another L lol— DeVonte Holloman (@HolloMan21) January 9, 2013

2013 college football schedule: 15 opening week games to get excited about - SBNation.com
Speaking of Clemson, they open their 2013 season against Georgia, which will mark the third consecutive football game that the Tigers have played against an SEC opponent.
South Carolina also has an intriguing opener against a border rival with the Tar Heels coming to town for the much-delayed back end of the home-and-home series that began in 2006. I'm terrified of this game.
Fremeau Efficiency Index
South Carolina finishes ranked 11th overall, 5th in defense, 28th in offense, and 86th in special teams.
