Update, Jan. 6, 3:23 p.m.: It looks like Salley will be transferring to Presbyterian.
Looks like Kendric Salley has transferred to Presbyterian. Buried in USC's depth chart for two years, likely to fare better for Blue Hose.

South Carolina is absolutely loaded at running back right now, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that redshirt sophomore running back Kendric Salley, who didn't have a single carry in 2013, has decided to seek a transfer.
My new story starts today it was great to be a Gamecock appreciate all the love and support!!! ✌️✌️🙏🙏🏈🏈

Four underclassmen running backs are currently ahead of Salley on the depth chart, and David Williams will likely move past him after redshirting during his true freshman season.
Salley's departure means that, combined with the graduating seniors and the four juniors leaving early for the NFL Draft, the Gamecocks will have 68 scholarship layers returning in 2014. This leaves South Carolina 14 short of the sanction-reduced cap of 82. There has been speculation that USC could sign as many as 22 players in February, so it will be interesting to see where the 8 remaining roster spots come from.*
*Yes, I know "the numbers always work out in the end." But these are people, not numbers. And it turns out that I care a great deal about what happens to them.
