Ed.: This was an April Fools' Day post.
Per reports Saturday after the scrimmage, Mike Davis hinted to the small group of media that he may be transferring from the University of South Carolina. He stated "I just don't feel like home when I am here" and then proceeded away from the media.
Davis was vital part of the HBC's offense last season, and was counted upon to be the work horse for the 2014-15 campaign. Davis has been splitting reps with backup tailback Shon Carson, which was a surprise to most.
Davis grew up in the Atlanta area and was also heavily recruited by various SEC schools, along with the upper tier ACC schools. Davis' apparent "home-sickness" has lead those close to Davis in thinking he may transfer to either the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech, both being in his home state. However, according to older brother James, former Clemson running back that trashed our defense during his years with the Tigers, believes his brother could end up in Clemson.
This could be detrimental to the highly anticipated 2014-15 season for the Gamecocks. Good thing we don't have to worry about this happening for our Heisman candidate, because he isn't going anywhere! Happy April Fools Day and Go Cocks! Forever To Thee!
