Most of us are getting prepared for South Carolina's first national championship football season to begin, but I'm here to talk about basketball recruiting. To give you an update, South Carolina has not landed a single commit for the 2015 class, but we do have 4 for the 2014 season. If we do land him, we probably won't need to worry about getting rid of another scholarship player (seeing as one or two will probably leave before then anyway).
On draft night, former Tar Heel PJ Hairston was drafted by the Miami Heat, and traded to the Hornets. He then proceeded to practice with high-schoolers in Durham, rather than his NBA team over in Charlotte. He played a pick-up game against a team with a kid named Kentrell Barkley on it. Barkley, a 6'4'' 180-pound SF, beat Hairston in what I assume was a fair game. Hairston then began to throw a junior high fit by punching a much smaller Barkley.
Barkley was then harshly accused of brutally attacking PJ Hairston, antagonizing him, and DELETING HIS TWEETS!!
Kentrell Barkley (PJ Hairston accuser) has deleted all of his tweets over the past hour.

If we reach it out to Barkley to sign with us for the 2015 class, we could probably land him in a heartbeat. The only other teams that have showed interest in him are Campbell, Charlotte, ECU, North Carolina Central, and UNC Wilmington.
