Jamon Meredith signs two-year contract with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jamon started eight games for Tampa Bay in 2013 and played in all 16 of the Buccaneers' games. After graduating from South Carolina in 2009, Meredith was taken in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He bounced around from Buffalo to Detroit, New York, and Pittsburgh before landing with the Bucs in 2012.

South Carolina hit 73% (11/15) on 3s in their 74-56 victory over Auburn on Wednesday night in the opening round of the SEC Tournament. That's the best rate by a Gamecock team in 25 years.

Sindarius Thornwell and B.J. McKie had very similar freshman seasons.

This marks the first time since South Carolina won the College World Series in 2011 that the Gamecocks have occupied the No. 1 spot.
