A Happy Warning

When you come to Garnet and Black Attack beginning on Tuesday, it will look different. Very different. Sort of like this. Or this. Or this. Only with better colors -- i.e., garnet and black.

Yes, we are making the jump to SB Nation 2.0. I say "we," dear reader, because I am including you. One of the reasons SBN is switching over is to make things more fan-friendly and fan-centric.

We're increasing your ability to take part in the blog. We're increasing the statistics you can get to without even leaving the site. And, in this case, when I say "we," I actually mean all the tech guys at SBN, who have done a great job rolling out the new platform. I have ... well, I have sat by and quietly watched.

Diaries are gone -- they are replaced by FanPosts, of which I hope you will take full advantage. This is going to be your area. If you think I'm missing something or you simply want to wax poetic about the smooth throwing motion of Tommy Beecher (Lord help us), feel free.

For a more complete look at what to expect come Tuesday, go to Rocky Top Talk's comprehensive overview. There's also more here, as RTT has done an excellent job pointing out what's new and how to use it.

You can claim your username now, if no one else has claimed it and you haven't already done it for another SBN blog. That's right; you can use the same name for all the SBN blogs.

On a personal note, I'm excited about this move. I've gotten a chance to play around with the new platform a bit, and it's good stuff.

Here's hoping you'll enjoy it, too.
