The Hokies, fresh off an afternoon win over The Citadel, face the 'Cocks at 7:00 in what will be an elimination game for Va Tech. Hopefully we put the nix on any attempt by them to extend the series to tomorrow; I'm sure none of us what to go through that. The Gamecocks start Jay Brown and Va Tech is going with Matthew Price (7-3 4.54). Price pitched an inning yesterday but left early after the Hokies opened an early lead against Bucknell.

on if he is slated to go in first 2 rounds in my opinion. $$$ hard to say no to with risk of injury in football as he is a better MLB prospect (no chance for NFL)

Not sure.

I read something over at STS a while ago that suggested he has more of a future in football than baseball. It will be hard to turn down a huge signing bonus if he get drafted in the first three rounds, though.

I think the idea that he has a better future in football is a Tigers fan myth. He might have an outside shot of making it in the NFL, but he's considered a very strong MLB prospect.

Honestly,

I’m not sure we could have asked for an easier road even if we had been a national seed. That’s not saying it’s automatic by any means, but I like our chances.
