The Gamecocks host Kevin Stallings's Commodores this afternoon in the CLA. This is a nice opportunity to pick up an upset and get the season started right. I think we can beat Vanderbilt if we:
- Play patiently. Work the ball inside and wait for the right shot. Don't try to get flashy in the full-court game. Take what they give us.
- Shoot the ball as well as we did against SC State. We need Bruce Ellington, Brian Richardson, and Ramon Galloway to have big games from beyond the arc.
- Get big defensive performances from Sam Muldrow and Damontre Harris to limit Vandy's imposing front line.
- Scrap and force turnovers.
Vandy is a good team, but I fully think we're capable of winning if we play at our best, especially with the game at home. Go 'Cocks.
