Loose Feed
CBS Sports: B1G pillow fight continues. Quick! Someone get Jim Delany to break it up before someone gets hurt! Urban is so mean! In my opinion, Bret Bielema is a whiny jerk who runs the score up on lesser opponents every chance he gets, so he is the last guy I need to be hearing from about coaching ethics and gentlemanly behavior (remember the Badgers hanging 83 points on Indiana?); I expected better from Mark Dantonio than to join the whining emanating from Madison, but will forgive him because he's a Gamecock. Columnist Bruce Feldman thinks Big Ten recruiting drama will add to season intrigue. I remember when off-the-field "drama" had a pejorative context.
NBC Sports: For his part at least, Dantonio seems to be dialing back some of the whining - Mark Dantonio clarifies ‘unethical’ comments. Bielema, on the other hand, appears to be doubling down on his crybaby act even though his boss and predecessor, Barry Alvarez, has publicly stated he doesn't have a problem with Meyer.
Team Speed Kills: Year2 explains that the B1G's post-NSD angst stems from the fact that Urban Meyer Has Some In the Big Ten Feeling Threatened.
Mr SEC: Brett Bielema says "we at the Big Ten don't want to be like the SEC - in any way, shape or form." In reply, John Pennington offers him some sympathetic words - Fair enough. Then just keep losing your January bowl games, Bret.
SI.com: Andy Staples has figured out what's going on in this rust belt contretemps- Operation Bratwurst just the start of Urbanator 1000's sinister plot. Prepare to be assimilated.
