L.B.Dantzler = Long Ball Dantzler!
L.B.Dantzler = Long Ball Dantzler!

Charlotte Observer: SC raises $60,000 for Wounded Warrior Project.

Gamecocksonline: Gamecocks Take Series With 5-3 Victory Over Auburn Three games over .500 in the SEC (10-7) and looking for a sweep.

Gamecock Central: One More Time: Gamecocks take series from Auburn plus photos from the loveliest village on the (East Alabama) plains. Wait - ain't that Opelika? Never mind ...

David Cloninger: Something just clicked about the USC weekend starting rotation ... pretty impressive, when you think about it.

Examiner.com: 2012 SEC spring football practice review: South Carolina Gamecocks.

GoUpstate.com: Matthew Connolly blogs Gilmore's stock skyrocketing.

Rock Hill Herald: Stephon Gilmore poised to become NFL first round draft pick.

Side Lion Report: The Detroit Lions Should Draft Stephon Gilmore.

Leftover Hotdog: Video Preview of South Carolina's Alshon Jeffery and the NFL Draft and Video Breakdown of South Carolina's Melvin Ingram and NFL Draft.

Post & Courier: Frank Martin, always a fighter, embraces the challenge of USC basketball.

Bleacher Report: Adam Garrett posts Frank Martin Getting It Done on the Recruiting Trail (from Friday). Straight article, with some good analysis of the four commitments.

Myrtle Beach Sun: Dawn Staley is recruiting well too - Myrtle Beach’s Sessions finishes career as one of best girls basketball players state has seen.

GoGamecocks: Video: Spurrier Ladies Clinic highlights. This is pretty much the only USC football reporting they're doing at The State that's not hidden behind the paywall. I really like Josh Kendall's and Andy Shain's reporting, but - honestly - who out there is paying for GoGamecocks when you could subscribe to Gamecock Central or The Big Spur and get fresher information?

Max Preps: A couple of days ago I was fussing about D.J. Park not making the ESPN 150, but check out MaxPreps (Tom Lemming's site) - which has him as the # 16 prospect in the nation. [Caution! - all the black "G"s on the commitment list may cause heartburn, now and in the future]. These lists are so totally subjective that it's hard to put much faith in them; e.g., Goose Creek WR and UGA pledge Trammel Terry makes the cut (#27) with Lemming, but not Lake Marion WR Mike Williams who is widely considered just as good if not better than Terry.

CBS Sports: Not so fast, Phil! Dennis Dodd writes that Arkansas AD Jeff Long prefers not to alter staff in replacing Petrino. If you read the tea leaves, what this may mean is that Long isn't ready to hire his permanent replacement yet, and will punt until next year. Or it may be a negotiating ploy with whoever Long is dealing with. In any event, whether the Hogs' interim H.C. Taver Johnson or O.C. Paul Petrino (brother of Bobby) gets the job remains to be seen. Will Paul pay a penalty for his brother's transgressions? Probably.

Cocky Country: Typical men, we forgot Steve Spurrier's birthday - but Katie remembered: Happy Birthday, Steve Spurrier! (from Friday - the actual birthday, and all).

Dr. Saturday: Like Senator Blutarsky what Charlie Weiss does in this video segment leaves me speechless.
