Gamecocks open as 6 point favorites in Fayetteville

Despite a less than stellar performance late in the game against Kentucky, oddsmakers have placed Carolina as favorites to walk away winners against Arkansas.

While South Carolina certainly did not put together the blowout win many had hoped for last weekend against Kentucky, the oddsmakers around the country continue to have faith in the Gamecocks, at least when it comes to playing Arkansas this week.  The Gamecocks are favored to win their second SEC road game of the season by six points.

The Razorbacks enter the game on a three-game losing streak, which gives them a 3-3 record on the season (0-3 in the SEC).  After early-season wins against UL-Lafayette, Samford, and Southern Miss, Arkansas closed its non-conference schedule by ceding a 24-7 lead to Rutgers (ultimately falling 28-24), and losing their first two SEC games to Texas A&M (45-33) and in Gainesville (30-10).

South Carolina hopes to extend its three-game winning streak in the first of three straight (and its three final) road trips of the season.  Kickoff from Fayetteville is 12:21pm ET.
