Football season is over, but athletes posting (usually unintentionally) hilarious things on social media never stops. Join us as we count down the ten best tweets, Vines, and Instagram pics from the first football-free week of 2014.
10. South Carolina commitment Bryson Allen-Williams is famous for his eagerness to recruit other prospects to join the Gamecocks' 2014 recruiting class. On Thursday, the four-star outside linebacker took to Twitter to notify other prospective student-athletes of South Carolina's proclivity for producing NFL talent.
Can't say #SouthCarolina doesn't produce NFL talent #wecocky pic.twitter.com/w8kVdlw5Hh

Always appreciated, Bryson, but you should probably charge that phone, bruh.
9. One of the best things about Victor Hampton, the intermittently suspended defensive back who delivers brutal hits like this, is that he provides love and nourishment for a pit bull that he has named Giuseppe. Yes, Giuseppe--a name most famously belonging to a 19th-century Italian poet. This week, Hampton took the opportunity of his newfound earning capacity to welcome a new, all-white pit bull named Ice to his dog family.
8. Hampton then posted a photo of Ice and Giuseppe snuggling in a manner so adorable that it is bound to receive top billing on a Buzzfeed post entitled 33 Pictures of Dogs Cuddling That Will Make You Want Renounce Christ And Worship Rufus, the Canine Warrior Poet.
7. Mike Davis was as excited about his lunch as he was to finish ranked No. 4 in the country.
6. Shaq Roland's enthusiasm manifested itself much differently.
5. Former Gamecock kickoff specialist Joey Scribner-Howard posted a thoroughly confusing video that somehow combines snipers, 'MURICA, and kicking footballs, I think.
4. Stephen Garcia's Twitter feed is a pretty strong follow in general. For some reason, watching him share his excitement over whatever he's watching on television is ceaselessly hilarious to me. Here, though, the Gamecock legend takes some time to thank South Carolina fans who have supported him through thick and thin. (Garcia, of course, recently signed with the Tampa Bay storm.)
Just want to say thank you to all the Gamecock fans that have supported me thru the thick & thin.I will always cherish playing at SC!

3. Shortly after the Gamecocks returned from Orlando, many of the players attended a Jay Z concert, which served as one last opportunity for Vic and JD to pose together while donning their bafflingly intricate t-shirt prints.
2. The Gamecocks' shortstop had the pancakes to troll the Jameis Winston on the night that the Heisman Trophy winner won the BCS National Championship. Respect.
I wonder if jameis remembers giving up a homerun to me when we were 17?

1. Gamecock holder/backup punter Patrick Fish earns the top spot in the inaugural Cock Watch not so much for the content of his tweet itself but for what it promises to bring.
The season is over..... About to get back on my Vine game sooo hard #YallReady

Hell yes.
What did we miss? There are a lot of Gamecock athletes and they frequently tweet about pretty mundane things, so it can be difficult to find the good ones amidst the "lol bout to get this meal in" tweets. If you've found a great one that we missed or that you think should be included next week, let us know! My email address is connor tapp at gmail dot com.
