Gamecocks' big recruiting weekend: Uncommitted targets make official visits to South Carolina

UPDATE: The official visits have concluded. South Carolina did not pick up any commitments but moved into the lead with Wesley Green. The announcement dates have been added to the uncommitted official visitors chart.

Beginning Friday afternoon, South Carolina will be hosting its most publicly visible recruiting weekend of the winter. Fresh off the termination of the dead period, the Gamecocks are expecting 12 current commitments, three undecided prospects, and one player currently committed elsewhere.

On Saturday, the official visitors will attend South Carolina's basketball game against Ole Miss. At halftime, Steve Spurrier will address the crowd and recognize the 2013 football team for its accomplishments. It's the one opportunity for Carolina fans to have an extremely indirect impact on recruiting without being total weirdos/NCAA violators about it.

Show up to the game. Make noise. Read our game preview. Maybe even band together with the people in your section to chant Wesley Green's name. Otherwise, keep your distance and don't interfere with the proceedings. Your enthusiasm is not going to tip the scales in anyone's decision-making process.

Almost all of South Carolina's committed prospects are expected to be in town, including four-star linebacker/amateur recruiting coordinator Bryson Allen-Williams.
