The Coaches Poll released its pre-season top 25 this week, and to no one's surprise, Kentucky leads the way with 24 of 32 first place votes.

The Wildcats are one of only two SEC teams to see the poll, as Florida also comes in at seventh.  In addition, the Gamecocks' neutral site opponent, Iowa State, begins the year at the fourteenth spot.  The Gamecocks and Cyclones play this season in Brooklyn, NY on January 3.

The Gamecocks did not appear in the poll, and have not been ranked since the final AP poll of the 2004 season, where they came in at 23rd.
