The South Carolina Gamecocks (3-2, 2-2 in the SEC) face the Kentucky Wildcats (3-1, 1-1 SEC) in a critical SEC East match-up for both teams on Saturday evening. The game can be seen on the SEC Network.
The Gamecocks come into the game on the back of a difficult loss to the Missouri Tigers, 21-20 last week. At 2-2 in the SEC, Carolina's not out of the race by any stretch, but needs to win the rest of its East games to have any chance of coming out of a tiebreaker or winning the East outright.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats hope to build on their early season successes, which include a conference win over Vanderbilt and a triple overtime loss to the Florida Gators in Gainesville earlier this year. It's surprising, but most of Kentucky's goals are still in front of them, and a win over South Carolina keeps them right in the conversation, as unlikely as it seems.
The game kicks at 7:30pm ET.
