The SEC announced on Monday afternoon that the Gamecocks will face Furman at noon on Saturday, October 18, on the SEC Network.  The two teams square off at Williams-Brice Stadium in the first match-up between the schools since 2010.

The SEC announced the rest of its October 18 slate as well on Saturday, which includes a critical SEC East match-up between Missouri and Florida, as well as a functional SEC West elimination game when Texas A&M travels to Tuscaloosa:

Noon Furman at South Carolina SEC Network
3:30 pm Texas A&M at Alabama CBS
4 pm Georgia at Arkansas (in Little Rock) SEC Network
7 pm Missouri at Florida ESPN or ESPN 2
7 pm Tennessee at Ole Miss ESPN or ESPN 2
7:30 pm Kentucky at LSU SEC Network

South Carolina attempts to get above .500 again on the season, as Furman enters the game with a 2-4 record.  Each team has this week off, and will have 14 days to prepare for one another.
