Gamecocks and Paladins set for noon kickoff

The SEC Network carries South Carolina's first game of the season where it enters as a heavy favorite.

The SEC announced on Monday afternoon that the Gamecocks will face Furman at noon on Saturday, October 18, on the SEC Network.  The two teams square off at Williams-Brice Stadium in the first match-up between the schools since 2010.

The SEC announced the rest of its October 18 slate as well on Saturday, which includes a critical SEC East match-up between Missouri and Florida, as well as a functional SEC West elimination game when Texas A&M travels to Tuscaloosa:

4 pm Georgia at Arkansas (in Little Rock) SEC Network

7:30 pm Kentucky at LSU SEC Network

South Carolina attempts to get above .500 again on the season, as Furman enters the game with a 2-4 record.  Each team has this week off, and will have 14 days to prepare for one another.
