The Final Cockdown: #50, AJ Cann

The Gamecocks should have a very good offensive line. AJ Cann is a major reason why.

AJ Cann
Redshirt Senior Guard
6'4", 318 lbs.
Bamberg, SC

Recruitment:
4 stars, 3rd-ranked center in the 2010 class
Other offers: North Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc.

College Career:
Cann's as much of a fixture as the Gamecocks have, and something of a model student-athlete. Barring injury, he should surpass 50 career starts by season's end. He's landed on the fall honor-roll each of his playing seasons. He's received various all-SEC honors throughout his career, and should appear on any number of preseason all-conference teams. Cann should be a touted prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft—CBSSports.com ranks him as the 4th best OG and the best guard prospect in the SEC. We need more AJ Canns, is what I'm saying. Incidentally, his brother Savales, a class o' 2017 safety, holds a South Carolina offer.

2014 Outlook:
It's, you know, good. Cann is a team leader, a weigh troom warrior, a class room...cavalier, and has one of helluva head of hair.

Trivia:
Known for his uncanny (<---PUN INTENDED) ability to throw his voice, making his speech appear slightly out of sync with his mouth movements. Observe:
