Georgia vs. South Carolina: Gamecocks' week 2 injury report

Which Gamecocks will be healthy enough to play against Georgia? (Confused by the tiny heads? Click here.)

Cooper appears ready to go against Georgia.

Grant Halverson

While we're always happy to see the real Akeem Auguste - currently holding down a position on the practice squad for the Seattle Seahawks - we don't like seeing too many of him on the weekly injury report.

Fortunately for the Gamecocks, despite their other issues early in the season, they have been very lucky not to have many (well, really any) significant injuries in the first two weeks of the season.  With luck, this post will continue to remain short and with as few Akeem Augustes as possible.

Pharoh Cooper

After missing practice earlier this week, Cooper appears good to go today.  Cooper represents a key offensive weapon for the Gamecocks to use against the Bulldogs stout defense, led by new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

Brison Williams

Like Pharoh, Williams missed practice earlier this week but all signs suggest he's playing today.  Given the Gamecocks' woes in the secondary, the loss of Williams would be a catastrophic injury.  Fortunately for Carolina, it appears he'll be ready to go against Georgia.

Mike Matulis, RG

Out at least until October with a knee sprain.
