South Carolina heads to Nashville, its first road trip of the year, as heavy favorites to emerge with a 2-1 SEC record heading into an important game against the Missouri Tigers the week following. The 19.5-point spread represents the largest spread for a Carolina game so far this season, which shows both the respect the Gamecocks earned with their victory over Georgia, as well as what the nation thinks of Vanderbilt after its first three games - blowout losses to Temple and Ole Miss, followed by a last-second victory over lowly Massachusetts.
Vanderbilt will attempt to right its season against the Gamecocks, as a loss will put them at 0-2 in the SEC and staring down a very challenging remaining schedule, with the rest of the SEC East as well as a trip to as-of-now undefeated Mississippi State still to come on the schedule. Given Kentucky's resurgence under Mark Stoops, which nearly included a win over Florida last night, the 'Dores seem firmly rooted to the bottom of the SEC East for the season.
We'll have tons of coverage of the game coming up this week, but for now - which side of this bet would you rather be on?
