The kickoff time and TV channel have been set for the Gamecocks' road trip to Nashville.

The Sept. 20 contest between South Carolina and Vanderbilt will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network, ESPN announced on Tuesday. The Gamecocks will travel to Nashville either on top of the world or several layers beneath its crust, depending on what happens on Sept. 13 against Georgia.

Though Carolina owns a five-game winning streak against the Commodores, they've been out of late. But this year's version of Vanderbilt seems uniquely bad. In Derek Mason's first year at the helm, Vandy has been outscored 78-10 by noted college football juggernauts Temple and Ole Miss.

Still, the Gamecocks have struggled lately in Nashville against good Vanderbilt teams and bad ones alike. In 2008, South Carolina fell 24-17 and narrowly won its next two trips by just 18 combined points.
