Well this season certainly didn't start the way we wanted it to as Gamecock fans, and perhaps it's for the best that it ends and we move on.  Yet still, every college football season is special because it's a college football season, of which we receive far too few during our time, and so we should honor its memory nonetheless.

Tonight, Ohio State tries to add to the aristocracy of college football by winning yet another national championship, while Oregon tries to become the first team in almost two decades to win their first title.  As a non-blue blood program, it's certainly in Carolina's interest that the sport be seen to allow others to come up and grab the crown from time to time.  Otherwise, what's the point?
