South Carolina Gamecocks vs Vanderbilt Commodores: The week 7 injury report

We've got the latest injury report as the Gamecocks begin a new era Saturday in Columbia

It's a new day in South Carolina football. A day in which Brandon Wilds and his status don't make a liar out of me (hopefully!). A day in which a quarterback is healthy enough to play a full quarter (maybe!). A day in which we learn a little more about ourselves (sad!) and our team (still not great!). It's also a day in which we remember that Coors Original still tastes like a sock full of sweaty nickles (even if you are drinking it in memoriam!).

This is the injury report and Mr. Auguste's army of tiny heads will provide you with the latest Gamecock injury news (for the backstory on that, click here.)

Key
One Auguste Expected to play, might not start
Two Augustes Game-time decision
Three Augustes Questionable
Four Augustes Doubtful
Five Augustes Out

Brandon Wilds, RB

Wilds was reportedly set to play against LSU last week before it was reported that he had pulled himself from the game. Let's hope he's feeling up to a run on Saturday, as the ground game has struggled mightily when he isn't on the field.

Connor Mitch, QB

Orth's status was upgraded this week, which is good because we're running out of  QB's. Speaking of....

Lorenzo Nunez, QB

Nunez is listed as doubtful (shoulder) and isn't expected to appear against Vandy.

Alan Knott, C

Knott has been out with a high ankle sprain he suffered against Georgia. Coach Elliot said he expects him back this week.

Deebo Samuel, WR

Samuel is still out with a hamstring injury. He's questionable for Saturday, but looks like he could be back the following week.
