Things are not looking great for the Gamecocks

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Post & Courier: Against Missouri, Lorenzo Nunez alone isn't enough for USC. Despite the interceptions and the injury, Nunez was responsible for 232 of Carolina's 298 yards. He really needs the guys around him to step up.

Gamecock Central: Second half turnovers doom Gamecocks. The turnovers were far from the only problem, but yeah, they pretty much killed any shot at a rally.

The Big Spur: Nunez will stick as starting quarterback. Absolutely the right decision. Nunez is the best option and the more experience he gets now, the better for the future. Also, Lammons watches while Missouri completes pass after pass.

The State: Thumbs up, Thumbs down. Poor Pharoh Cooper and Skai Moore. Also, Foundation not stable for Gamecocks. Josh Kendall says that there's no help in sight for this team and he's probably right. And, Gamecocks exhibit spirit, but not results.

ESPN SEC Blog: Drew Lock leads Missouri over Carolina in his first start.

KCTV Kansas City: Drew Lock the key in first start as Tigers defeat Gamecocks. Lock did well considering that it was his first start, but I'd wait and see his performance against another team before getting too excited.
