South Carolina Gamecocks Football: The Feed Pail: October 5, 2015

Inundated!

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

Greenville News: Weather forces USC staff from stadium.  Will the shared adversity, both on the field and in the Capital City, propel Carolina to their best effort against LSU? You might think it trite, but it's not unheard of either. The University has cancelled Monday classes.  Please be careful out there; don't take chances in your car.

Gamecock Toast: Downward spiral continues as the Missouri Tigers pick apart the Gamecocks in a 24-10 defeat.

The Rubber Chickens: Snap Judgments – 2015 USC @ Missouri Edition. One of the better lines: "[S]omehow it feels like we have one running play, and it's not very effective. But we continue to run it despite very little success."

Garnet & Cocky: South Carolina Gamecocks could rewrite history, but not how they'd like.

Post & Courier: For struggling Gamecocks, season’s hardest part is yet to come.

SporstalkSC: Spurrier still hopeful of a turnaround this season. Notes from the Sunday teleconference. Where does he think we're going to find the 6 or 7 wins he thinks would be "good for this team"? I'm not seeing them. Do you?

Saturday Down South: Gamecocks out-matched at Mizzou, Lorenzo Nunez struggles in second start. The report card isn't pretty. "The Gamecocks lost a very winnable game by failing to execute offensively and once again struggled with runs up front." That about sums it up.

Gamecock Central: Scott Davis: Keeping it real.  Looking back on the HBC's post-UCF comment that the Knights had one of the best front 7's we'd face all season, Scott writes:

Missouri's defensive line says hi. The Tigers compiled four sacks during the game and got pressure seemingly at will. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume the defensive lines of LSU, Florida, Tennessee, and others have a little talent too and will find life to be fairly enjoyable when facing USC. Oh and that vaunted Central Florida team? They gave up 45 points to mighty, mighty Tulane yesterday to fall to 0-4

Bleacher Report: Game Grades, Analysis for Gamecocks and Tigers. Yikes.

Spurs & Feathers: Spurrier and Gamecocks turn attention to LSU.

ESPN SEC Blog: SEC Week 5 Power Rankings. 13th. Chew on that.

Roll Bama Roll: A great film study of how UGa decimated us. Are y'all feeling better about Hoke after Mizzou? Should we be paying $1.5m jointly to both Hoke and Whammy - and benching our South Florida recruiter (Grady Brown) in the process - for this? That being said, there were signs of life on D at Mizzou. Just like the Tennessee game last season, the maligned D came out swinging in the first half and it was the O's turn to sputter and give the game away.  Is it too little too late or can we build on it?

GamecocksOnline: Gamecocks Lose Five-Set Thriller at Mississippi State. Scott Swanson's squad is 0-4 in SEC play. Are we happy with the direction Volleyball is taking? If anyone has insight or just general thoughts, please share it in the comments.
